Who do we work with?

NE Teens is a free service for those young people (12 - 21 years) whose parents or carers have an alcohol or addiction problem.

How do we work?

Through 1-1 counselling and group work, we will provide a safe environment for young people to share their fears and difficulties they may be experiencing with their parents.

The counsellor will work in the 'here and now', goal setting, exploring how they express themselves, self esteem, confidence and assertion. We will increase client's awareness of addiction and teach new coping skills for living with an addict.

Where do we work?

The service is open to young people whose parents/carers are not on the structured day programme. We provide counselling at our office in Woodford Green, the Waltham Forest YMCA and local schools.
